Get to know the faces behind Heart to Home Community Markets
Meet Chris - Originally from Texas, Chris moved to Colorado in 1992 to attend college and earned a degree in Marketing and Business from DU. After working for larger corporations, he pursued entrepreneurship and in 2007 launched a year-round lawn maintenance company in Parker, which also specializes in holiday lighting. As a dedicated single father, he raised his two daughters while balancing business ownership and an active family life.
Meet Kristin - Basically a Centennial Native, Kristin moved to Colorado in 1978 as a young girl. She graduated from Littleton Highschool and attended Colorado Christian University before embarking on a 20-year career in corporate telecommunications, focusing on contract negotiations, marketing, and legal tariff writing. A single mother to her daughter, she spent her free time crafting, exploring photography, and learning the ins and outs of small business ownership. In 2014, she left the corporate world to become a small business coach and later explored real estate before co-founding Heart to Home.
The Heart to Home Journey - In 2019, Chris and Kristin opened a seasonal holiday store near Park Meadows Mall, selling commercial-grade Christmas lights to complement their lawn care business. In 2020, they expanded to include local artisans and crafters, providing a platform for small businesses affected by the pandemic. By early 2021, Heart to Home Local Artisan Market was officially born!
